CCF’s REACT 2020 Event Named No. 2 Unique Virtual Campaign by OCBJ Charity Guide
CCF is honored to have been recognized as the No. 2 Unique Virtual Campaign.
The Orange County Business Journal (OCBJ) has released its annual Charity Guide, which highlights the best charity events in Orange County, Calif. And once again, the Carrington Charitable Foundation (CCF) is honored to have been recognized for its efforts, this year as the No. 2 Unique Virtual Campaign for REACT 2020: A CCF Virtual Event.
Every year for the past nine years, CCF has hosted its top-ranked Annual Golf Classic benefitting CCF’s Signature Programs that support post 9/11 combat-wounded American Veterans. However, this year’s October 12th event took place online for the first time ever to ensure the safety of the Veterans CCF supports.
Even with the change of venue and the transformed theme, REACT 2020 was a huge success, raising more than $1.2 million thanks to the generous donations of our supportive friends and family members. They were treated to a live speed painting of an American eagle by Joe Everson, and inspirational messages from Veterans like U.S. Army Sergeant Matthew Melancon (pictured) who spoke about their time in the armed forces, as well as the journeys and challenges they’ve faced since. Since 2011, the CCF Golf Classic has raised nearly $23 million for CCF’s Signature Programs, which provide diverse ongoing assistance to Veterans and their families.
“We are so thankful for the tremendous support from our donors, partners and friends and family,” says Rosemary Rose, Chairman, Carrington Charitable Foundation. “And we’re also proud of the hard work our Carrington Associates put in to make this event such a success. Thanks to everyone for another great year, and for making the CCF virtual event one of OCBJ’s best.”
