Carrington Mortgage Holdings EVP Rick Sharga was quoted on Oct. 4, 2018, in The Washington Post article “10 years later: How the housing market has changed since the crash," a reminder of the pre-crash housing climate of 2008 and a comprehensive look at current market conditions.
Rick says that today real estate agents are less likely to automatically push buyers toward the most expensive house they can qualify for.
“Hopefully consumers and realtors know the difference between the ability to qualify for a home and the ability to maintain and truly afford it now," he said.
